Promotes and surveys student online readiness. Introduces students to all aspects of online learning, including SOU’s online teaching platform, online research strategies, online class etiquette, threaded discussion, submitting assignments online, peer review, and creating and maintaining a supportive online learning community. Introduces criminology and criminal justice faculty and their expectations of online students, as well as administrative and support staff and their role in promoting online student success. Describes major requirements, capstone and internship requirements, major advising, and scheduling. Prerequisite or corequisite for all online CCJ courses. Graded P/NP.
