HST 465 - Modern Mexico 4 credits Designed to give an overview of the economic, social, political, and cultural history of Mexico from the era of independence (roughly 1810) to the present. Includes lectures that outline basic theoretical models for analyzing historical trends. Presents a basic chronological historical narrative combined with a discussion of targeted primary and secondary works.Prerequisite(s): Upper division standing and completion of Social Sciences and Humanities Exploration courses
