BI 544 - Vascular Plant Identification and Field Botany

Covers identification of local flora using technical keys and descriptions in a field setting. Emphasizes the recognition of common families, genera, and species of flowering plants, ferns, and conifers. Offered during Summer Session only. Two lectures, two 90-minute laboratory sessions, and four Saturday field trips. Graded (A-F) only. Must be eligible to take Graduate level coursework. Prerequisite(s): BI 211, BI 212, BI 213.
