Exceptions to the following requirements may be presented to the program chair for consideration.
Fulfill baccalaureate degree requirements.
Complete prerequisites.
Complete the core courses, as well as the electives.
Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and a minimum 2.75 GPA in English and writing courses.

One of these courses, 4 credits:
One linguistics course, 4 credits:
8 credits must be 400-level literature: ENG 417, 418, 436, 447, 448, 454, 481, 482, 488, 489.
8 credits must be from the following writing emphasis courses: ENG 312, 315, 327, 329, 355, 380, 383, 395, 456, 472, 480.
4 credits may be 300- or 400-level non-studio CW course.
