Explores one contemporary issue or topic using a holistic approach. Students trace local-global connections and the structural effects of personal choices through community-based research and case studies. Examines relationships among socio-economic institutions, individual behaviors, and cultural values and assumptions. Emphasizes global awareness, social action, sustainable resource use, and social justice. Repeat credit is allowed for different topics.
