MTH 105 - Contemporary Mathematics

Surveys various practical areas of mathematics. Covers finance, combinatorics and discrete probability, and modern geometry. Additional topics selected from logic, number theory, apportionment, exponential and log functions, and mathematics in arts and music. Emphasizes real-world applications, critical thinking, and the effective communication of mathematical ideas. Approved for University Studies (Quantitative Reasoning).Prerequisite(s): MTH 95 or appropriate SOU placement level.
