LEAD 560 - Diversity 1 credit Emphasizes the philosophical and epistemological perspectives of multicultural education in American public schools. Addresses issues related to exceptionality, including mainstreaming and inclusion. Explores materials related to the characteristics and needs of at-risk youth and considers how schools can respond to these needs. Introduces curriculum planning, as well as instruction and assessment techniques that help develop an effective multicultural education program at each level of education in public schools.
