HST 380 - War in the Modern World 4 credits Explores and examines the modern history of one of the most common of all human social experiences: war. Explores war and its connection with human aggression; the emotional and psychological experience of war; the professionalism of war; and the roles of public opinion, technology, and medical advances in war. Examines peace movements and other concerted attempts to eliminate war from human history. Approved for University Studies (Integration - Strand J). Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above.
