An advanced examination of the international affairs of the United States, examining political, economic, strategic, and ideological factors.  Analyzes the effects of U.S. foreign policy at home and abroad.  Covers the transition away from the Cold War, the Gulf War, globalization, great power relations, terrorism, human rights, immigration, the wars throughout the Middle East, economic diplomacy, and environmental diplomacy. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above or HST 251  or IS 250  or PS 202 . (Cross-listed with HST 461 .)
