CCJ 362 - Restorative Justice Practices 4 credits Restorative Justice aims at redirecting society’s retributive response to crime. This course presents students with a Restorative Justice framework related to: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Sexual Misconduct (including Title IX), Hate, Bias and Historical Racism, Affinity Spaces, and Reentry Circles. It focuses on developing the skills necessary for facilitating restorative dialogues. Students will develop skills for both “restorative circles” and “restorative conferences.” Combines lecture with a high level of experiential learning. Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term.
