CCJ 424 - The Constitution and the Justice System


4 credits
Students learn to evaluate legislative, executive, and judicial actions to see if they comport with the rule of law as articulated in the U.S. Constitution and appellate court rulings in cases that interpret the Constitution. Additionally, students learn and use a specific legal reasoning method (IRAC) and then apply the Constitution’s protections in their decision-making when encountering new situations requiring a justice system response. Prerequisite(s): CCJ 230  and CCJ 251  both preferred.
