COMM 412 - Assessing Media and Culture 4 credits Explores and applies major critical and rhetorical approaches for the assessment of prominent examples of public communication. Students systematically examine artifacts in contemporary media, politics, arts, and culture to learn how messages establish meaning, and also achieve influence in the public sphere. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above. Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
