Examines human relationships, classroom organization, and management-which help teacher-education students understand how to establish classroom climates that support learning. Addresses issues related to exceptionality, including mainstreaming and inclusion. Explores materials related to the characteristics and needs of at-risk youths and considers how schools can respond to these needs. Examines relationships among schools, parents, and communities.
