MTH 112Z - Precalculus II: Trigonometry 4 credits A course primarily designed for students preparing for calculus and related disciplines. This course explores trigonometric functions and their applications as well as the language and measurement of angles, triangles, circles, and vectors. These topics will be explored symbolically, numerically, and graphically in real-life applications and interpreted in context. This course emphasizes skill building, problem solving, modeling, reasoning, communication, connections with other disciplines, and the appropriate use of present-day technology. Prerequisite(s): MTH 111Z or appropriate SOU placement level. Approved for General Education: Numerical Literacy Capacity, University Studies - D Strand * This course was formerly offered under a different number; students who took the following course(s) will not receive additional credit unless the course is stated to be repeatable in the description above: MTH 112 Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term.
