PS 300 - Research Methods 4 credits Introduces the research methods used by political scientists. Course focuses on three areas: (1) designing a research project and formulating hypotheses; (2) developing the statistical tools and concepts to best test these hypotheses; and (3) presenting data and results effectively by combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. Students will learn how to think about social science research, how to gather and analyze data, and how to present findings in a clear and compelling manner. Prerequisite(s): Completion of STAT 243Z or an equivalent statistics course. Graded (A-F) only
