SOAN 204 - The Sociological Imagination


4 credits
Introduces fundamental concepts such as interaction, socialization, deviance, inequalities of race, class and gender, and globalization, as well as the theoretical and methodological tools employed in social research. Examines social institutions such as family, economy, religion, education, and politics. Pays particular attention to the interdependence of social forces and individual experience and to the ethical, political, and cross-cultural dimensions of sociological work.
