NAS 440 - American Indian Identities 4 credits Provides a multidisciplinary perspective on contemporary American Indian identities, including the question of who or what counts as “Indian,” and why. Topics include historical and contemporary perspectives from political, ethnic, cultural, and legal standpoints, both from Indigenous communities and from wider United States society. May be applied to the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies major or minor. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above. Approved for General Education: University Studies - J Strand Graded (A-F) only
