ENG 447A - Irish Literature 4 credits Explores Irish fiction, drama, and poetry with particular focus on significant historical events such as the Irish Famine and the 1916 Easter Uprising. We especially examine issues of colonialism and nationhood, religious affiliation, gender, sexuality, and embodiment. May count towards the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies program. Prerequisite(s): ENG 301 . Approved for General Education: University Studies - J Strand Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
