BA 415 - Tourism Policy and Planning

Explores major local and international policies, programs, and affecting the tourism sector. Learners will analyze the role of destination management organizations (DMOs) in coordinating tourism planning and development and explore strategic tourism planning as a part of the policy agenda for sustainable development. Moreover, tools for conducting sustainable tourism assessments, land-use planning, project development, and monitoring and evaluation initiatives will be examined. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above.
