PHL 379 - Environmental Philosophy 4 credits Examines the concept of “nature” from a historically and traditionally diverse variety of philosophical perspectives. Interrogates familiar distinctions, such as nature/culture, matter/spirit, fact/value, and seeks to clarify and unpack the ways in which these conceptual dichotomies have contributed to ongoing ecological crises. Prerequisite(s): PHL 201 or PHL 205 or PHL 211 . Approved for General Education: Inquiry & Analysis Capacity, University Studies - H Strand Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term.
