ES 448 - Wildlife Management and Conservation 4 credits This course explores approaches to sustain wildlife including game and nongame animal species. We will apply ecological concepts, conservation and restoration principles, as well as social sciences and ethics, to understand the tools, strategies, and policies used to manage wildlife populations. Includes topics such as harvest management, habitat management, conservation units, traditional ecological knowledge, landscape connectivity, human-wildlife conflict, and co-management. Prerequisite(s): ES 102 or BI 213 . Graded (A-F) only.
