SPED 515 - September Experience (initial licensure) 3 credits It is designed to allow the candidate to transition to the classroom experience. When appropriate, the candidate should assume minimal responsibilities for dealing with student instruction, scheduling, management and mainstreaming, as well as dealing with classroom assistants, parents, volunteers, and regular education staff whenever possible. It is expected that the candidate will attend and participate in before or after school activities, such as IEP, staff and pre-referral meetings as appropriate. The candidate must demonstrate professional dispositions.
Prerequisite(s): Designed for students in the MAT initial SPED Licensure Concentration. Graded (A-F) only.
