ES 327 - Energy and Climate Change 4 credits Explores the interconnections among natural resources, energy, and global climate change. Topics include the extraction and origins of fossils fuels; carbon dioxide emissions; long-term and short term climate variability; and alternative energy resources such as geothermal, hydroelectric, nuclear, solar, tidal, wave, and wind. Intended for environmental studies students but also open to other students interested in issues of energy and climate change. Two 50-minute lectures and one 2-hour laboratory.Prerequisite(s): ES 101 or ES 112 or G 102
