Examines ancient Greece from the Minoans and Mycenaeans through the death of Alexander the Great in 323 b.c.e. Topics include Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations, the so-called “Dark Ages,” archaic Greece, the emergence of the poleis, the Persian Wars, the rise of Athens, the Peloponnesian War, and Alexander the Great.
