MTH 212 - Fundamentals of Elementary Mathematics II 4 credits Covers rational number arithmetic for prospective teachers. Topics include theory and modeling of fractions, decimals, and percentages; rational and irrational numbers; mental arithmetic and computational estimation; graphing linear and nonlinear functions; and probability and statistics. Content is taught within a problem-solving framework. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory. Students entering the next MAT cohort have enrollment priority over other registered and waitlisted students. Approved for University Studies (Quantitative Reasoning-Strand D [met after completion of both MTH 211 and MTH 212]).Prerequisite(s): MTH 211 .
