4 credits Introduces students to univariate, bivariate, and multivariate techniques for analyzing quantitative data using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Provides hands-on experience with General Social Survey data, U.S. Census data, and World Health Organization data, posing precise research questions that can be examined empirically with quantitative data.Prerequisite(s): MTH 243 or EC 232; SOC 241 or SSPC 241; completion of lower division social science University Studies requirements.
