Historical survey of the visual arts of Western and Non-Western cultures from the Early Modern era (c. 1400-1800). Examines selected artworks in relation to their historical and cultural contexts and introduces students to fundamental themes, terms, and methods used in the analysis of art and visual culture of this period.
