CHN 201 - Intermediate Mandarin Chinese Language and Culture I

Enables students to reach at least intermediate low language proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and to study Chinese culture. Continues the study of Chinese characters started in Beginning Mandarin Chinese. Students communicate in Chinese on topics ranging from everyday life, family, and work to political, economic, and social questions affecting culture. Materials include a variety of cultural texts, and various media resources. Closed to native speakers of Chinese. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Prerequisite(s): CHN 101, CHN 102, CHN 103.
