3 credits Students learn basic sixteenth- and eighteenth-century counterpoint techniques by analyzing and composing music in the style of Palestrina and Bach. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Restricted to Junior standing and above. Prerequisite(s): MUS 223, MUS 226, and completion of piano proficiencies
