PH 475 - Nanophysics and Nanotechnology 3 credits Introduces nanoparticles and nanoparticle technology to science majors. Provides a brief historical context. Explores nanoscale particle properties (mechanical properties and phase stability), nanoparticle design and fabrication, nanoparticle characterization, and nanoparticle applications. Emphasizes the relationship between the internal structure of a nanoparticle and its properties. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
