PS 317 - Collective Action 4 credits Examines the various ways in which individuals pursue political outcomes through collective action. The subject matter of the course includes corporations, labor unions, non-governmental organizations, interest groups, and dissident organizations, including nominal terrorist organizations. Students will acquire a strong conceptual understanding of the motives and means of collective political action within the United States and around the world. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Prerequisite(s): Upper division standing is recommended.
