COMM 290 - Introduction to Film Analysis

Introduces students to film form and structure; gives students skills to understand, write about and produce films. Focuses on film aesthetics, (mise-en-scène, cinematography, editing and sound); film genres; narrative and non-narrative structures; and the dynamics of the viewing experience. Approved for University Studies Explorations (Strand E - Humanities). Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
