CCJ 413 - Law of Criminal Procedures 4 credits Examines the balance between individual and societal rights. Explores the limitations of governmental actions as provided by state and federal constitutions, statutes, and case law with regard to criminal investigations (search, seizure, confessions, and interrogations), pretrial procedures (plea bargaining, grand juries, and preliminary hearings), and trial procedures (right to counsel, juries, bail, and appellate procedures). Prerequisite(s): CCJ 230 , CCJ 231 , CCJ 241 , CCJ 251 , CCJ 298 , CCJ 300 . Junior standing or above. Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
