COMM 472D - Advanced Fictional Film Production 4 credits Hands-on course in fictional film production. Students investigate key formal criteria that define fictional films, paying particular attention to the relationship between genre and style. Students work in groups to write, shoot, and edit their own short films, considering such aspects as scriptwriting, mise-en-scène, acting styles, cinematography, editing and narrative. Prerequisite(s): COMM 272 or VP 272 or instruction permission. * This course was formerly offered under a different number; students who took the following course(s) will not receive additional credit unless otherwise noted: VP 372D.
