ENG 341 - Class, Culture, and Feminism in Victorian and Edwardian England


4 credits
Examines novels, poems, autobiographies, and corresponding historical and visual texts to gain insight into the lives of British women between 1832 and 1914. Using a feminist lens, the course surveys Victorian women’s writing and creativity in the context of various movements for political, artistic, and social reform.  May be applied to the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies minor.  Approved for University Studies (Integration -  Strand J). Prerequisite(s): ENG 298  or completion of writing requirement in major department.
