Students pursuing the minor in Sociology and Anthropology must meet all applicable requirements listed in the Minors section of this catalog, including the Minor residence requirement.

SOAN 204 - The Sociological Imagination 4 credits
SOAN 205 - Social Problems and Policy 4 credits
SOAN 211 - Archaeology and Prehistory: Perspectives on Humanity’s Past 4 credits
SOAN 213 - Cultural Anthropology: Perspectives on Humanity 4 credits
SOAN 214 - Language in the USA 4 credits

Upper Division Electives (16 credits)

Select 16 credits from upper division SOAN courses

One course must be a 400-level seminar (seminars include SOAN 407 and all of the courses from SOAN 420 - SOAN 473), and a maximum of 4 practicum credits may be counted toward the upper-division electives in the minor.
