Education Minor

The School of Education offers a 25-credit undergraduate minor for persons interested in gaining skills working in educational settings. Completing the Education Minor will assist in meeting numerous prerequisites for entering one of the graduate teacher preparation programs (Master of Arts in Teaching or Special Education). Students must meet all applicable requirements listed in the Minors section of this catalog, including the Minor residence requirement.

ED 252 - Introduction to Social Foundations in Education 3 credits
ED 462 - Human Development 3-4 credits (4 credits required)

Required Practica (Choose 3 credits from the following)

ED 253 - Southern Oregon University Learn and Serve (SOULS) 1 to 4 credits
ED 453 - Southern Oregon University Learn and Serve (SOULS) 1 to 3 credits
ED 209 - Practicum 1 to 3 credits
