3. Complete economics core classes (28 credits):

• EC 201 - Principles of Microeconomics 4 credits
• EC 202 - Principles of Macroeconomics 4 credits
• EC 320 - Introduction to the International Economy 4 credits
• EC 358 - Intermediate Microeconomics 4 credits
• EC 373 - History of Economic Thought 4 credits
• EC 376 - Intermediate Macroeconomics 4 credits
• EC 494 - Capstone Experience 4 credits

4. Complete methods requirement (8 credits):

• 1. Choose and complete one of the following courses:

• EC 232 - Exploratory Data Analysis 4 credits
• BA 282 - Applied Business Statistics 4 credits
• STAT 243Z - Elementary Statistics I 4 credits

• 2. Complete  EC 332 - Quantitative Methods and Application 4 credits

5. Choose and complete 24 credits of additional upper division economic electives.

Upon advisor approval, a maximum of 8 of these 24 credits may be taken in appropriate non-Economics courses.

Students interested in Public Policy are encouraged to take EC 310 , EC 319 , and EC 364 .  For an International focus, EC 321  and EC 379  are encouraged. Those students interested in Finance are encouraged to take EC 318 , BA 385 , and BA 472 . For students intending to pursue graduate school in Economics, Calculus and Linear Algebra courses through the Mathematics program are encouraged.
