To apply to the Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing, students must have completed 24 Credits of University Studies courses.  We recommended that these classes be taken during a student’s freshman or first year at Southern Oregon University.

Students must maintain a 2.75 GPA in the major, and a 2.75 cumulative GPA in all other courses.

• You will become better acquainted with a diverse range of historical and contemporary writers.
• You will increase your verbal communication skills and become more effective collaborators.
• You will gain familiarity with standards and practices in the field(s) of professional writing.
