The Film, Television and Convergent Media concentration emphasizes a convergence of media practices and applications that reflect the new media environment and workplace. Students may select tracks that focus on the study and practice of film, video and television production, journalism, and/or digital and convergent media. The curriculum balances media practice and theory, offering students hands-on experience in production, while also providing a critical lens through which to examine film, television and video, journalism and other aspects of digital and visual culture. Students develop a strong theoretical and critical background in the history and culture of film and media, and skills to utilize this knowledge in the production of their own projects.
