Innovation and Leadership, Bachelor of Science

Up to 120 quarter hours may be transferred for credit into the Innovation and Leadership program. The remaining courses may be completed at Southern Oregon University. Students must complete a total of 180 quarter credits with 60 of those credits being at the upper division level.
The BS degree is designed for working professionals who have:
□ one to two years of previous college experience
□ at least five years of work experience beyond entry level
□ a desire to lead, innovate, collaborate, and think creatively
Students who graduate from the BS in Innovation and Leadership degree program will be able to:
1. Exhibit a deep understanding of organization leadership and culture and be poised to excel in local and regional organizations in the community.
2. Be knowledgeable about individual and group behaviors in organizations and be skilled in the application of that knowledge.
3. Use critical thinking skills and practical knowledge to solve complex organizational problems.
4. Apply innovative technologic solutions using modern data analysis techniques.
5. Demonstrate an understanding of organizational theory; an understanding of the legal, ethical and competitive environment in which an organization operates; and the ability to utilize this knowledge to solve complex problems.
6. Demonstrate an understanding of conflict mediation concepts and exhibit the ability to work collaboratively in a wide range of organizational contexts.
