ED 525 - Play as Core Curriculum 3 credits This course is intended to build awareness surrounding the importance and value of play in child development and human learning. Through a variety of hands-on experiences, students will engage in learning about the fundamental principles and theories about the power of play in learning and brain development. Observing and involving themselves in authentic embodiment of play will help teachers apply active and open-ended play experiences as effective instructional approaches, promotion for whole child development, and support for evoking curiosity, creativity, passion, love, and joy for learning. Graded (A-F) only.
