HE 453 - Drugs in Society 3 credits Examines the use and abuse of drugs, including alcohol, tobacco, amphetamines, barbiturates, narcotics, and tranquilizers. Emphasizes the pharmacology of drugs and the prevention of abuse. Focuses on how individual use affects society and how societal mores affect individual use. Approved for University Studies (Integration - Strand I). HE 250 recommended. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above. Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term.
