HON 490 - Honors College Capstone 4 credits Required for all Honors College Scholars, this course provides students with an opportunity to reflect on, expand, refine, and apply skills and knowledge developed through their Honors College coursework and co-curricular activities at Southern Oregon University in a series of assignments that will result in a capstone portfolio. In addition, students will also be guided in writing an academic contextualization for a topic, project, creative work, or research paper they have completed, or will complete in their major field of study, or an academic contextualization and proposal for a research project, creative work, or original contribution related to their major field of study or desired field of work. Students will present a portion of their portfolio and/or contextualizing paper/proposal in class or in some other public academic setting in consultation with the instructor. Prerequisite(s): Honors College Scholars only with junior-level standing or above. Graded (A-F) only
