BI 315 - Neurophysiology


5 credits
Covers principles of neural function, including electrical concepts, synaptic communication, circuitry, and signal transduction. Emphasizes molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie communication in the nervous system, including current topics in neurophysiology. Three hours of lecture and one 3-hour laboratory. Prerequisite(s): BI 213 .  One year of general chemistry is recommended. Corequisite(s): BI 315L .
