CCJ 389D - Study Away - Amsterdam and the Hague 4 credits An examination of the design, functioning, and legal basis for systems of criminal justice in other countries. An attempt will be made to relate governmental, political, demographic, and economic factors in explaining past and current trends in the adjudication of offenders. Cross cultural analysis of the causes of crime may also be explored. This course is taught one day per week during the fall term. The trip and study away component occur during spring break. Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
