BA 218 - Personal Finance 4 credits Provides students with opportunities to develop skills for solving real world financial problems. Real world topics covered include: goal setting, earning income, money management, spending and borrowing, as well as saving and investing. Students design personal and household budgets; simulate use of checking and saving accounts; and devise loan and credit card management plans; evaluate insurance and tax planning needs. This course provides a foundational understanding for making informed personal financial decisions. Approved for University Studies (Explorations Strand F–Social Science). Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule.
