COMM 213 - Visual Design for Media 4 credits Introduces students to a practice-based, hands-on approach to visual design for media. Students learn about vector and raster graphics, how to design for specific purposes in professional media, and how to produce compelling design deliverables using online platforms. Topics also include the elements and principles of design, color theory, visual perception theories, typography, symbols, brand identity, logos, information design, and foundations of user experience and user interface design. Graded (A-F) only.
