PH 201 - General Physics I 3 credits Algebra-based introduction to general physics for science majors with special emphasis on applications and problem-solving in healthcare, biology, and sustainability. Topics covered include equations of motion (kinematics) in 1D and 2D; Newton’s laws of motion (dynamics); rotational kinematics and dynamics; work, kinetic energy, and potential energy; conservation of linear momentum and conservation of angular momentum; and the law of universal gravitation. Prerequisite(s): Previous or concurrent enrollment in MTH 112 . Approved for General Education: University Studies - G Strand (when taken with PH 224) Grade mode designated on a CRN basis each term.
