CH 511 - Inorganic Chemistry 4 credits Surveys contemporary theories and their application to inorganic compounds. Lecture topics include symmetry, atomic and molecular structure, chemical bonding, coordination compounds, reaction mechanisms, periodicity, acids and bases, aqueous and nonaqueous solutions, organometallic and bioinorganic compounds, and descriptive chemistry of metals and nonmetals. Four lectures. Grading option designated on a CRN basis each term. Students should consult current term schedule. Must be eligible to take Graduate level coursework. Prerequisite(s): CH 441 . Corequisite(s): CH 414 .
